Portable Document Format
Initially we only developed a simple PDF writing as part of our ExactImage and for use in our ExactScan to create files.
Wrinting, however, is rather simple: one can choose what subset of the PDF standard to write and how.
Much later we wanted to also read PDF files in all their varing fine details for OCRKit and re/Compress and thus wrote a PDF parsing, evaluation, restructuring and rasterizaiton framework from scratch.
Our new PDF library is shipping as part of OCRKit, re/Compress.
